Who We Are:
We are the Main Street Middle School Gender and Sexuality Alliance and our mission is to make our school a safer and more inclusive place for the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the year we plan fundraisers, take field trips, talk about important topics and much more!
Meetings:
Stop by anytime! We meet every Tuesday in Mrs. Fortune's room (221) from 3:00 to 4:00. We start off our meeting with social time, and a circle where we review the Norms and discuss what we will do that day. We then break into committees to work on separate projects. Sometimes, we spend the entire meeting talking about how we can improve the school.

Our meetings are open to everyone, but in order to participate, you need to follow our basic rules:
-Be honest
-Treat everyone equally
-Respect everyone's names and pronouns, along with confidentiality
-Be accepting and non judgemental
-Take space, make space
-Disagree respectfully
-Speak your truth, and understand it might be only part of the truth
-Use humor appropriately
-Respect the talking piece
-Wrap your name tags
-Be yourself
-Always know you don't have to talk
